I heard back from my fantastic agent, Gentle Reader, who recommended a line by line edit of March to empty it of dead weight. With such direction, I have begun going chapter by chapter, line by line, and eliminating 1-2 pages per chapter. At this rate, I will get the requested 50 pages of dead weight off. Huzzah! Hooray!
I’ve started over, and have edited through Chapter 8. I’m down to 480 pages. More huzzah! Hooray!
