Postscripts: I Dreamed a Book

I dreamed an entire book last night, Gentle Reader, and in the most amazing part of it, I let my characters name themselves.

I introduced myself to them as their writer, and told them they would be stars of a new novel I was writing (Greyson Academy, apparently was the name).  I then asked them what they wanted their names to be.  “Hannah,” said one character.  “Jamie,” said another.  My main character’s name was “Alice.”  And her love interest is “Charlie Rome.”  (The girls named him).

I even dreamed the first line, “Charlie Rome was asking about you today in Physics.”  Apparently, I dreamed a YA love story with a mysterious twist at the end.

This is not the first time I’ve dreamed in books, but it is a reminder to me to write.  Write, write, write, because there are characters inside of me who want to make their presence known to the world.

What did you dream, Friends?
