Greetings, Gentle Reader, from the other side of history!
I’m so very excited that we have voted, as a nation, for marriage equality! I love looking at the rainbow banner above me right now in WordPress, and I love hearing my friends and family talk of impending marriages. Marriages are beautiful because love, of course, but also CAKE. Yay more cake in the world!
I apologize for taking so long to write to you. I’ve been helping to care for my father, who had surgery on his foot (!) after stepping on a rusty nail (!!!). This was his second surgery, more intense than the first, so I was in New Orleans for six weeks helping out. Now, I’m back home and ready to get into the swing of things once more.
