School starts next week, Gentle Reader, with the many, many meetings to prepare us for the Fall semester. I have my classes (mostly) prepped, my books (almost) read, my Blackboard pages (sort of) set up. But what I haven’t done is write on Marvel Among the Demons.
I know, I know! I swore I would get back to writing when I returned home from New Orleans.
I didn’t.
And then, I swore the second time I returned home from New Orleans, I would get to writing.
I didn’t.
The longer I take away from writing, the harder it is. I know this, intrinsically, deep inside of me, and yet, I find myself confronting a wall.
I know what I need to do. Truly, I do. I need to write Something Else. To move forward in writing on anything, so that I can return to Marvel.
The problem is, there’s nothing else I want to be writing! The Nightmare Fighters is a sequel, and I don’t want to continue it until the first book sells, in case there are changes to be made (there are always changes). Same with April Fools.
BICHOK, my Friends. That’s what I need to do.
At least I’m writing here, with you. That’s enough to get the creative juices flowing!
