I’m not going to make my 50K goal this year, Gentle Reader, and I’m okay with that. Since my mother died May 2014, I have had problems writing and reading for pleasure. I don’t know why; it’s just happened. But I’m writing again now, thanks to the inspiration NaNoWriMo has supplied, and I am grateful for the community of writers who help run the site and encourage the local chapters.
And I’m just grateful to be writing again. I’ve missed it, so damn much. It’s such an integral part of me and for that part to be taken away means that part of me was taken away for a year and a half.
