Gentle Reader, two, count them, two eulogies in one week of two great performers? My heart is breaking for the loss of David Bowie and now, Alan Rickman. I loved him as Snape, of course, but I truly loved him as Col. Brandon from Sense and Sensibility. Austen is a favorite of mine, and seeing such a fantastic character brought to life really underlines for me, the scope of his talent.
I will miss him. But, like Bowie, he has left a prestigious body of work behind to comfort us in his absence.
