Batman Vs. Superman: A Review

Gentle Reader, I enjoyed this movie very much.  In the wake of lighter, more energetic superhero movies–Deadpool, Avengers, the upcoming Suicide Squad–this seems dark and grim.  But there’s hope there, for humanity, for our heroes, to become what it is they should become.

The acting was good, Affleck a good Batman, Cavill a great Superman, but really, Gadot stole the show with her Wonder Woman.  And I don’t think it’s because I’ve waited almost 40 years to see my favorite character, my hero, on the big screen.  I think she’s Just. That. Good.  And she was.  Her smile at one point during a fight scene had me laughing out loud.  It was such a “Bring it!” smile.

So go.  See the movie.  Enjoy it!  It’s worth enjoying.  Applaud Wonder Woman when she steps on screen.

I did 🙂

  1. I loved it. The movie just started out a bit slow but I thought it was great! Affleck was an awesome batman and I was skeptical when I first heard he was cast. The only thing that bugged me was I thought the Lex character was a bit over the top.
