Week Eleven

I’m about 70 pages into the new project, Gentle Reader, and I’m feeling a bit lost.  A lot has happened in those 70 pages, and I need to find out what’s going to happen in the rest.  Again, I don’t write from outlines, just ideas, and I let the story unfold the way it’s going to unfold, as I write it.  That means, of course, a ton of rewriting and revision, but that’s okay.  I enjoy that process almost as much.

Speaking of, I’m currently revising MARVEL and am about 1/3 of the way through it.  I spoke with my agent at length last week and I have 9(!) pages of notes from him about the revision efforts.  I didn’t do anything yesterday except take care of dogs, nap, and my daily writing.  It felt good to take a day off to do nothing but laze around.  Some laundry, some dishes, some cooking, but mostly napping and Facebook and puppy.

Speaking of puppy, she’s doing well.  Potty training is still proving to be a bit of a bear, but we’re powering through.  She’s getting so big!  I can’t believe my tiny little puppy is getting her rabies shot on Tuesday.  The mark of a big girl!
